Library Book Haul

Hello and welcome back to my blog!

I haven’t done a book haul in a very long time on this blog-the last one was in 2020, so I am in LONG overdue for a book haul, and this time, it’s from the library. I picked up some really good books, and I can’t wait to share with y’all what books I picked out to read.

The Cherry Cola Book Club & The Reading Circle by Ashton Lee

It was the cozy covers that got me. They look like they belong in a small town in the library or a local bookstore, and they are having Cherry Colas and cakes and maybe solving a mystery or just sharing their love of books. It looks like a place to sit down and have a cozy time reading and chatting with the people that comes inside this place, and also pet the dog and or cat there.

Snow & Poison by Melissa de la Cruz

This book has just been released, and I’m glad that I grabbed it as soon as I saw it. Snow White but a retelling? Sounds like fun to me. Also, the cover is really beautiful, and I can’t wait to dive in. Snow White is one of my favorite tales to read about, and I have seen the Disney version more times than I can count, even though I really like Sleeping Beauty for some reason. Also I really love reading anything Melissa de la Cruz writes, they are so good and I would read them over and over again.

The Golden Spoon by Jessa Maxwell

This is a murder mystery, I believe, set during a baking show a la The Great British Baking Show. It has a manor, bakers coming to compete, and also a murder happens. This sounded very interesting to me, and I wanted to read it the moment I saw it at my local library. It makes me wonder who died and how are they gonna solve the murder.

Only a Monster by Vanessa Len

I think this one is about a girl who finds out that she’s a monster like the rest of her family, and she is being hunted down by a monster hunter, I believe. I keep people reading this book almost everywhere, so I decided to pick it up and read it, to see if its really good and interesting as it says on the flap. Also, I’ve been eying this book, to be honest, and I can’t wait to read it, to see what happens.

Julieta and the Romeos by Mana E. Andreu

Did the cover catch my eye when I was looking around the library? Yes. Is this the kind of book I would read for the hell of it? Not really. But I’m trying to read more romance novels, since I only read a lot of fantasy and urban fantasy, but not books about anything else. This book is about a young lady named Julieta writing a book about something…I don’t know, but the girl has six roses around her, so I can’t wait to find out what is going on in this book, to see if I’m right or not.

Death on the Page: A Castle Bookshop Mystery by Essie Lang

Ahh yes, Brittany is back in her cozy mystery era, and Death on the Page is something that caught my eye immediately when I saw it. It takes place in a bookstore, there’s a cat in said bookstore, and I cannot wait to read it. It looks fun, and I can’t wait to find out who done it and what happened in this cozy mystery. Also now I have an itch to watch and read more cozy mysteries/mystery shows in general, and as we speak I’m looking through my hoopla and everywhere else to find me a really good mystery show.

Heartless-Marissa Meyer

Now this one is about the Queen of Hearts. I have read the Lunar Chronicles by Marissa Meyer and loved it, and this book is about the Queen of Hearts in Wonderland…I am both curious and also a bit worried about reading this book because I’ve read Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland a lot ever since I brought the 105-year edition and loved the story, so reading about the Queen of Hearts might be either fun or exciting…I haven’t decided yet.

Along with a couple Taylor Swift CDs (Repuation, Lover and 1989), I’m all set for a really good reading month for the rest of this month and September. Keep your eyes peeled for the reviews for these books.

Currently Reading #48

Hello and welcome back to my blog. I haven’t been able to write on here as much as I would like because all I do now is just read and don’t review books and just give them a rating and move on. I’m sorry that I haven’t been able to do that, and on top of that, I haven’t been able to sit down and do any book hauls, something I realized I miss doing. Also, I’ve been neglecting this blog, which is really bad, since this is where you read my reviews on books and see what books I’ve gotten from the bookstore or from the library. So I’m going to try and post more on here as much as I can, starting with what I’m currently reading.

Love on the Brain by Ali Hazelwood

And yes…I am annotating it. I haven’t annotated my books in a long time, and doing it for pleasure is becoming to be so much fun 🙂
